Rental car
Toyota Vios & Nissan Sentra(2-3 years old, condition so-so) for RM 450 for 3 nights ; Can also get a 7 seated for RM 270 .
No need advance booking of car coz those small car company's most likely give u a lousy car if u book advance. Anyway, car rental counters are placed next to luggage collection belts.
So, it is very convenient to get cars, can ask for viewing before confirm but have to place a deposit first.
Rental cars are parked at airport carpark which is also convenient , viewing before confirming is a good idea.

Hotel
Berjaya Langkawi is next to Oriental Village where the cable car is. Location is not the best as food options are not a lot. Most of the restaurants are found at Kuah Town and Cenang beach.

Langkawi is slightly bigger than SG but traffic is light, thus as long as you have your own transport, it is convenient to travel.
Free parking at Berjaya or all places we went. We didn't drive into shopping malls, maybe charges required.

Berjaya is big and most rooms are individual chalets that sit on terraneous hill next to sea. So, most of the rooms are far away from lobby. But they provide shuttle services and it is almost one to one which mean one converted jeep for your group. Waiting time is almost non issue.

Breakfast foods are so so and not fantatics but view is good.

We booked two rainforest chalets and one rainforest suite. They arrange our chalets to be next to each other which is very nice of them. Our room has partial seaview from far. Only rainforest suite can accommodate extra bed and bath tub.

Overall, we love this hotel. And will not hesitate to stay in the same hotel again.
